Review Detail
1999 Torbreck The Factor Shiraz
Wine Rating
95
A well made aged Barossa shiraz is a great drinking experience, one that takes adept winemaking and a balance between fruit and oak, the 99 Factor is a great example of such a wine. The nose is a meaty and briny expression of savoury plum with a touch of old leather.
The palate is fully mature with leathery plum against an earthy core of framing tannins, oak is subtle and well integrated with superb length and a peppery grainy olive aspect. Drinking in its prime now.
