Review Detail
2013 The Islander Estate Shiraz
Wine Rating
92
This wine comes from grapes sourced from a number of vineyards across South Australia and a bargain for the price.
The nose gives blackberry and blackcurrant with attractive dried sage and spearmint aromas. The palate has a savoury core with drying tannins that complement dense plum and blackberry fruits. Oak gives spice, and the alcohol seductive mouthfeel. Drying length of herbaceous plum with wood spice lingers. Exceptional value.
