Review Detail
2006 Kay Brothers Block 6 Shiraz
Wine Rating
88
A deep dark red in the glass, the nose is syrupy and sweet with confected fruit and lashings of vanillin oak.
The palate has fully resolved tannins and full but one dimensional fruit. Oak influences are over the top and make the wine cloying. It may have been the alcohol that pushed this one over the top, but i think it will be best consumed over the next year or two.
