A curious blend of both Hunter Valley (56%) and Clare Valley fruit (44%), the justification being the yields of the Hunter Valley were lower than anticipated with a complementary parcel of fruit from the Clare Valley being sourced. An odd thing to do from a logistics perspective but the resultant wine is very good.

The nose showcases the two regions with a peppery plum and red cherry coming from the Hunter proposition and the slightest spearmint note from the Clare with everything wrapped in a casing of pretty french oak spice.

A well balanced wine that is brimming with dark cherry and a generosity of oak that's integrated with plummy, chocolatey fruit. Tannin and acid give it great lines and accentuate the wines length on the finish.

Breathing life back into the inter-regional blend.
