Review Detail
2009 Spook Hill Silent Partner Shiraz
Wine Rating
87
A big bold and bruising nose that has charred American Oak notes as well as some barnyard characters that dominate the fruit and leaves it a little flat. The palate has good fruit weight with expansive plum and dark cherry that contends with taut acidity on the mid palate. There is leather and iodine to plum fruit to finish that provides interest.
