Review Detail
2012 Lou Miranda Single Vineyard Shiraz
Wine Rating
95
An impressive package both in terms of the bottle and label, but more importantly the wine within.
A dark, brooding wine that shows the hallmarks of old vine Barossa Shiraz and the classic 2012 vintage with a nose that is bursting with plum, smokey oak and old leather.
An earthy baseline of satisfyingly sultry dark berry fruits are interjected with oak spice before supple tannins wrap plum and blackberry fruit. There is an attractive sweetness of vanillin oak to finish that's matched by length of drying dark fruits.
