Shiraz October 09, 2017
2014 Catlin Black Label Shiraz
Wine Rating

Whole berry with some whole bunches, and post ferment maceration has resulted in one of the most complex and complete Shiraz that I have enjoyed from the Adelaide Hills.

A dark red with purple hues in the glass, the nose has textured plum with white pepper sitting alongside liquorice all sorts, sweet spices and earth.

Time on skins has given a suppleness on entry, but don't be fooled the wine has immense structure and drive with attractive plum and blackberry, olive and liquorice has a beautiful balance.

A dusting of white pepper sits amongst a sea of dark fruits to finish.
