2013 Huntington Estate Shiraz
Wine Rating

93
Huntington Estate are a consistently superb producer from Mudgee, who typically hold their wines back for a number of years before release. The 2013 Estate Shiraz is showing well after a few years and a steal at $26 a bottle.

A deep red in the glass with a nose that has understated earth and charcuterie notes to blackberry and plum with the faintest touch of leather. Fruits continue to be on the dark side of the spectrum on the palate and meld with supple, savoury edged tannins. A chocolate richness adds another dimension to the finish, with a plushness of primary fruit that drives considerable length.
