2016 Sidewood Estate Shiraz
Wine Rating

93
Sidewood Estate are producing consistent and well priced Shiraz that holds true to it’s cool climate roots but maintains a fleshiness of fruit to give it presence. The nose has violets, plum and blackberry that's backed by the faintest touch of black peppercorn.

The medium to full bodied palate has generosity of dark berries with plushness of fruit that works well against mouth drying, but fine tannin that has a dark chocolate and peppery edge. The finish is accentuated by tannin, with a savoury thread that lingers. A great value wine at less that $30.
