The nose enjoys the dark berry and chocolate overtones that the region is known for with some herbaceous flare on account of the cooler vintage. The palate gives initial appeal of drying blackberry and black cherry fruit, however there is a leaness of fruit that is add odds to the tannin and acid structure, the wine recovers to finish with a return of dark fruits with cedar spice to finish.
