Review Detail
2017 Auld Family Wines Strawbridge Shiraz
Wine Rating
92
A youthful red in the glass with dark cherry and plum fruit that takes some time to open up in the glass with background spice and some earthen notes. There is an enjoyable purity of fruit that has great drive and persistence, it’s more in the raspberry and dark cherry spectrum at the moment but will continue to move towards darker fruits; the tannin take on a dark chocolate and coffee notes, acidity gives the wine fine lines but also underwrites future development.
A wine that will grow substantially with time.
