Review Detail
2017 Arundel Farm Estate Shiraz
(Updated: September 10, 2019)
Wine Rating
89
This won’t be a wine that all will love; there is a distinctive Rhone like character on the nose that has iodine and bandaid that can indicate brettanomyces.
There is however savoury plum and blackberry fruit that for the moment dominates. The palate as you would expect is savoury with charcuterie, white pepper and leather carried by plum fruit and some chocolate notes, the finish is laced with bracken and iodine.
