Review Detail

The wine was made from grapes sourced from the Con Mara Vineyard and saw 14 months in new French Oak Puncheons. A glossy red in the glass with an integrated nose that has blackberry and plum fruit alongside leather and oak derived spice. Blackberry compote, cigar box and graphite give what is a generous, but complete expression of Shiraz from the Alpine Valley that has soaked up the new oak and will live for a long time. The length is considerable with a leathery, gently spiced edge to plum fruit.
