The wine is made in the appassimento style with the grapes allowed to dry prior to fermentation, concentrating the fruit characters of the wine. The nose is awash with plum, vanilla, unsweetened liquorice and dark chocolate on the nose.

There are layers of fruit, oak and savoury impact. There is such concentration to the wine with dark plum melding with bitter dark chocolate and richer brown spices. A decadent wine that has incredible balance, with acidity providing a framing role and tannins taking on earth and chocolate.

The length is best described as prodigious.
