Review Detail
2019 Bobar Syrah
Wine Rating
93
A delicate light red that is more akin to Pinot Noir in colour. The nose has a floral prettiness with candied cherry contrasted by earthen spice.
This is a moreish wine if I've ever tasted one, with a glass disappearing quickly. There is a taut and almost saline edge to red berry fruits that are primary and generous with rhubarb and undergrowth having a weave of gentle spice. The finish focuses on cherry with a final floral embellishment.
