Wine Rating

The grapes were sourced from the famed Malakoff Vineyard in the Pyrenees which is responsible for some of the great wines that come from the Pyrenees. The wine was aged in a mixture of new and older oak for 12 months and is medium to full bodied with wonderful texture and presence.

The nose has a floral edge to subtle plum and violets. There is generosity of fruit on the palate that is curtailed by fine, gently spiced tannin and integrated acidity that gives the wine great flow. The finish sees some peppery tones to plum and blueberry with a final embellishment of oak providing a velvety feel.
