2017 J&J Wines Rivers Lane Reserve Shiraz
Wine Rating

The nose speaks of a cooler year with a herbaceous edge to black fruits that are lifted by cedary oak. The palate reveals a wine that has subtle, savoury blackberry and plum fruit at its core. Oak leads the fruit in terms of impact of tannin with coffee grinds and dark cocoa the defining characters across the mid palate. There is not the usual plushness which is a characteristic of the 2017 vintage, however the wine is sure to enjoy time in bottle.
