Sourced from some of the oldest plantings at Blue Pyrenees Estate the 2018 release of Section One showcases a good year with blue and black fruits met with glossy tannins and a svelte, generous texture afforded by new oak. The wine glides across the palate with plum and blueberry fruit taking on more earthy characters as well as dark cocoa and faint aniseed. The finish continues the more savoury thread with enough fruit and oak to give balance whilst also showing the wine has the pedigree to age over the medium term.
