Review Detail

2018 Lange Estate Fifth Generation Shiraz
Wine Rating

88
A glossy red in the glass, the nose is dominated by plum and blackberry fruit with sappy, cedary oak input. The fruit is ripe and mouth filling and oak has a charry influence that detracts from the fruit and gives an almost bitter dark chocolate and liquorice character. The finish has a mix of drying blackberry and plum pitted against sweeter oak along with good length.
