Review Detail
2019 Allegiance The Artisan Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz
Wine Rating
86
A youthful, deep purple in the glass with a nose that continues the youthful exuberance with deep plum and dark cherry met by charred oak with an obvious sweetness. The wine is dominated by sweet oak that is out of balance, leaving the mouth puckering. In terms of fruit there is plum with liquorice somewhere in the mix but it is shrouded by the oak. May soften a little in time.
