A wine that has distinct similarities with the Mappinga, but is even more layered and considered in its expression of site and winemaker influence.
Plum, earth, pepper and a faint pull of iodine and old leather on the nose, there is a black pepper edge to the wine with tannins that are supple but build and give a savouriness to black fruits; spice is there but a very much background influence. The finish lingers with plum and pepper.
