Review Detail
2017 Hallmark Barossa Shiraz
Wine Rating
90
A wine that is typical of Barossa and the 2017 vintage with plum and dark cherry with some earth and oak induced spice coming from what was a cooler vintage.
The wine is medium bodied with taut lines of tannin and acid that are just in balance with lean red and black berry fruits, oak gives a dark chocolate like richness which gives continuity and a glossiness to the finish.
Well made, and will reward some short term cellaring.
