Review Detail
2018 Farmer’s Leap Brian Shiraz
Wine Rating
95
A deep but glossy red in the glass, the nose has beautifully concentrated plum and dark cherry that has a savoury, graphite like thread with oak providing a cedar lift.
The palate shows a wine with layers of impact, it is not full throttle fruit but instead a melange of, earth, spice and herbs nestled within black fruits. Tannins are expansive and textural and give contrast now and will provide a propensity to age.
A considered and well put together wine to enjoy over a number of hours.
