Review Detail
2021 Zig Zag Rd Heathcote Shiraz
Wine Rating
89
The grapes were sourced from Heathcote and picked relatively early, with wild yeast and no material impact of oak. The approach has created a wine that is medium bodied and more European in its styling.
A medium red in terms of colour with sappy plum and cherry set against earth and charcuterie. The palate continues in a near identical thread to the palate with brambly dark berry fruits and fresh acidity tempered by cured meats and faint chocolate notes. The finish has an enjoyable savoury edge and driving acidity.
