Shiraz April 06, 2011
2008 Schild Estate Shiraz
Wine Rating

94
Dark purple moving towards dark red around the rim of the glass. The nose shows high quality American oak and a saturation of plum and cherry fruit. The palate is amazingly rich and mouth filling, from entry to the long finish there is plenty going on.The front palate shows ripe plum and cherry fruits, with the mid palate moving to dark cocoa, cinnamon and spice. The finish provides fine but mouth coating tannins, finishing with lasting dark berries and cedary oak.

Hi Paul, i picked this one up at auction and am confident it was the original bottling, as there were no additional markers on the label as i read somewhere else.

For the price i thought a superb wine, can only hope the second bottling was as good
