2004 Seppelts St Peters Great Western Shiraz
Wine Rating
96
Deep red in colour, the nose is typical of high quality cool climate shiraz with aromatic blackberry and pepper on show. The palate has layers of flavour centered around blackberry and plum fruit. This concentrated fruit is contrasted by subtle spice in the mid to back palate. The wine has incredibly fine tannins, with oak playing a supporting role rather than dominating. The finish is long and pleasing.
