2007 Grant Burge Filsell Old Vine Shiraz
Wine Rating
93
Deep purple to red in colour, the nose literally jumps out of the glass with ripe plum and sweet vanillin oak.
The palate is dense and packed full of rich plum and blackberry fruit, there is dark chocolate and mocha characters that meld wonderfully with the fruit and oak, in fact it's almost hedonistic.
The tannins are fine, firm and drying and needed to frame the vibrant and concentrated fruit. The finish is rich with dark berries, cocoa and considerable length that lingers
