2009 Baileys of Glenrowan 1920 Block Shiraz
Wine Rating
94
The colour of the wine is an impenetrable red to purple.
The nose is opulent and rich from the outset with raspberry and plum fruit dominant. The palate full bodied and shows excellent focus with framing tannins and an acid structure that bodes well for long term cellaring.
In terms of taste the wine continues with the power and concentration shown by the nose with dark berry fruits on the front to mid palate, with the finish showing excellent length with spicy Christmas cake characters.
