The wine is just starting to show its age in terms of colour with a developed red hue that is slightly browning towards the rim.
The nose has excellent concentrated plum fruit with old leather and earth adding complexity. The palate has lashings of blackberry fruit and is fully mature with leather, cocoa and spice on the mid to back palate. The finish is long, with blackberry and white pepper the lasting memory.
