Review Detail
2009 Red Hill Estate Shiraz
Wine Rating
91
The wine throws a medium red hue in the glass and is still very much in it's infancy with ripe primary fruit flavours of plum combing with white pepper on the nose.
The cool climate palate will take time to develop and unravel, but has all the elements. Underneath the sheath of concentrated plum there is riper raspberry fruit and contrasting stem and dark chocolate elements. The finish has firm mouth filling tannins and excellent length.
Thia is a wine look forward to revisiting with a few years under it's belt.
