2014 Coombe Farm Tribute Series Nellie Melba Blanc de Blancs

Produced from clone 76 Chardonnay the wine was kept on lees for 30 months prior to disgorging, with minimal dosage. The wine gives a light to golden yellow in the glass with the nose centred around nectarine with fresh bread and blanched almonds giving bottle induced complexity.

There is a layering of stone fruits on the palate with a creamy richness that is offset by green apple and zippy citrus acidity. Time on lees gives a fullness of mouth feel to finish with oyster shell adding a final embellishment to the zesty assemblage of nectarine and white peach.
