Review Detail
2006 Kreglinger Vintage Brut
Wine Rating
95
There are a number of Tasmanian sparkling wines that allow you to draw a parallel to quality Champagne, with Kreglinger, Arras, Clover Hill and vintage Janz being in that bracket.
The 2006 Kreglinger is a superb release and generally youthful with a balanced and complex nose of nectarine, almond meal and citrus. The palate is tightly coiled around a mineral acidity from which restrained stone fruits and focused citrus elements can show themselves.
The finish is focused and long as you would expect considering the commanding acid structure. It will be great to see where this wine goes over time.
