Review Detail
2010 Punt Road Pinot Noir Chardonnay
(Updated: April 12, 2015)
Wine Rating
90
The base wine is a blend of 89% chardonnay and 11% pinot noir, the nose is enjoyable with a touch of sulphide funk to go along oyster shell and white nectarine. The wine has seen 3.5 years on lees giving a fine bead and underlying bready notes to what is still essentially a citrus driven palate. The wine finishes with richer stone fruits and lees character with enough chalky acidic coming through to keep everything in check.
