Review Detail

2007 Hesket Estate The Margaret Macedon Pinot Noir Chardonnay
Wine Rating

90
A delicate bead in the glass, the nose is understated and restrained with citrus peel and a suggestion of stone fruit.

The palate has a briny, oyster shell character that plays well with primary citrus characters, made in very much an aperitif style with a framework of layered acidity and suggestion of richness that provides a wine to sit and enjoy over time.

This has plenty of years ahead of it.
