Review Detail
2005 House of Arras Blanc de Blanc
Wine Rating
92
House of Arras has been at the pointy end of Australian sparkling for a number of years, with the 2005 Blanc de Blanc an expertly crafted wine that was on lees for 8 years, yet maintains a pristine and relatively youthful expression that will give enjoyment for many years to come.
The wine itself is a light yellow in the glass with white nectarine, flint and top notes of brioche on the nose. The palate is supported by a tense line of acidity that is supported by oyster shell and nectarine. The finish has grapefruit amongst a sea of citrus and stone fruit.
