Sparkling April 26, 2016
NV Cope Williams Romsey Brut
Wine Rating

94
A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with generous additions of reserve wines, this is a well crafted wine and sits well against any Australian Sparkling or Champagne.

Given the addition of a number of reserve wines the golden hue in the glass is no surprise, the nose is rich and complex with developed brioche, candied peach and fig.

The beautifully worked palate provides a flinty aspect to the rounded and complex stone fruits. The wine finishes with a mineral and slate aspect that is the perfect counterpoint to its richer characteristics.

A wine from Macedon Ranges worth seeking out.
