Review Detail
2010 Gallagher Blanc de Blanc
(Updated: April 26, 2016)
Wine Rating
91
The flagship wine from Greg Gallagher is a rich and worked example of the style that benefits from extended time on lees but maintains a finely textured mouthfeel. The nose is laden with brioche and white peach whilst amply supported by notes of flint.
The palate shows generous nectarine and peach up front with texture and grip of citrus and grapefruit across the mid palate that balances the wines richer stone fruit characters. A touch of lemon peel gives a point of difference to finish.
