2010 Levantine Hill Late Disgorged
Wine Rating

94
A new addition to the Levantine Hill lineup that sits comfortably alongside the other releases, the wine was kept on lees for a number of years prior to release and has maintained an elegance and subtlety but has enough secondary complexity to be enjoyable now and the potential to evolve in the bottle over the next 5 + years.

The nose gives baked apple with background citrus notes reminiscent of lemon zest. The palate provides up front green apple with tantalizing acidity and underlying stone fruits, restrained brioche and almond meal notes are evident and will make themselves more prominent in years to come. The long finish is dominated by apple and citrus with flashes of flint and secondary complexity that gives mouthfeel and richness.
