Review Detail
2013 Mitchell Harris Sabre
Wine Rating
94
The grapes for this wine were sourced from both the Macedon Ranges and Pyrenees regions. The Macedon Ranges component no doubt a driving force behind the wines flowing yet taut structure and Pyrenees providing richness and breadth.
The wine is a lightly golden yellow in colour with biscuit and brioche notes to fresh white peach and nectarine on the nose.
Fresh citrus acidity is a great counterpoint to honeyed stone fruits with grapefruit like grip adding texture to the mid to back palate, the finish shows impeccable balance with a moreish line of acidity and creaminess of stone fruits that's topped off by candied lemon peel.
