Review Detail
2014 Botanica Estate Tullis Premium Brut
Wine Rating
93
Botanica Estate are a relatively new producer in the Macedon Ranges but already making an impact with their focus on the cool climate varieties of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The 2014 Tullis Premium Brut is made in a style more akin to Louis Roederer and sits on more of the oxidative than reductive side of the sparkling wine spectrum.
The wine itself is a light yellow with a fine bead and a nose of citrus zest that is interwoven by creamy stone fruits. There is a clotted cream backdrop to the palate that gives fullness and contrast to driving citrus fruits before worked white peach characters give depth and class to finish.
