Review Detail
2017 Mount Langi Blanc de Blanc
Wine Rating
95
A pure and elegant Blanc de Blanc that shows the influence that is time on lees that gives a latticework of complexity that is so finely nuanced given the racy citrus and just ripe stone fruits that influenced the 2017 blend.
A nose of oyster shell, lemon zest and new season nectarine that is lifted by flint and toasted almond. The palate has great energy and the interplay between steely citrus and stone fruits and the richer, lees derived bready influences is impressive. The bubbles are fine and disappear in the mouth with the finish having a saline note that brings you back for another sip.
