2018 Levantine Hill Blanc de Blanc
Wine Rating

94
The base wine was made with a blend of wine fermented in both tank and older oak before extended ageing on lees.

A light to golden yellow in the glass with a persistent and beautifully fine bead with aromatics of bready stone fruits, toasted almonds and a thread of lemon curd.

There is energy and focus to the palate with edgy and mineral, lemon laced lines of acidity that work well against the richer stone fruit influences. Dimension is given by a creamy complexity that can only come from time on lees, a touch of citrus peel and grapefruit give texture to finish, very good length.
