NV Blue Pyrenees Estate Luna (December 2019)
Wine Rating
90
The below review is from a recent disgorgement that was tasted in December 2019.
A consistent performer at an excellent price, the wine is a light yellow with a fine bead before the nose shows citrus tones alongside some freshly baked bread. The palate has green apple and stone fruits with lemon and understated almondmeal, the finish is long and citrus laden with a dash of white peach.

The Luna Brut is Chardonnay dominant and contains an element of the previous years base wine. This approach has added a little more developed brioche character on the nose that works well with the citrus and apple that is also evident.
The wine has a fine bead and the palate is dominated by citrus and racy acidity, there is not as much complexity in the mid to back palate that was promised by the nose, however the wine finishes with crisp citrus acidity and good length.
