Review Detail
2017 Allegiance Wines The Fighter Tempranillo
Wine Rating
90
Good clarity in the glass with a nose of crushed herbs, black cherry and a touch of pepper and charcuterie. The palate delivers a supple wine of good dimension with dark cherry fruits joined by plum and enjoying a continuation of the peppery thread seen on the palate. The tannins take on gentle spice and chocolate from the input of oak, with a generous mouth coating finish of bitter dark chocolate and a touch of star anise.
A nice Australian spin on a Spanish favourite.
