Review Detail
2017 Ulithorne Specialis Tempranillo Grenache
Wine Rating
92
A blend of Tempranillo and Grenache, one that you don’t see often. The wine is unadorned by oak, letting primary fruits and varietal pedigree shine. There is a sweetness of earth to brambly red cherry on the nose; the palate has a crunchy texture that is more than carried by bright red berry fruits with an earthen, spiced rhubarb edge. The finish is flowing and shines with wild cherry. Will be enjoyable at all stages during it’s evolution over the next few years.
