Review Detail
2011 Pimpernel Vineyards Viognier
Wine Rating
95
A triumph of the 2011 vintage, the nose has musk stick, wonderful vanillin oak and understated apricot aromas.
The palate is rich and layered with excellent fruit weight, considered oak and refreshing underlying acidity.
White peach and apricot get caught up in a web of mouth filling creaminess on the mid to back palate, with enough acid to keep it all in check.
A wine that is most enjoyable in it's youth.
