Review Detail
2019 Blue Pyrenees Estate Viognier
Wine Rating
91
A light yellow with a nose that is true to the variety with apricot the dominant aromatic, however a touch of fresh straw and snow pea give something extra. Some astute winemaking here with the wine having texture and interest without the overt concentration and oiliness that can sometimes plague the variety in Australia. The palate enjoys some spiced tones to the apricot fruit with some mealy note on the mid palate and a savoury edge to finish.
