Review Detail
2017 Mount Avoca Estate Viognier
Wine Rating
90
The nose shows the impact of a cooler year with pear and apricot aromatics enjoying subtle honeysuckle and aromatic spice. A well made and modern expression of Viognier with depth of fruit, but without the overbearing oily texture the variety can be known for. Apricot is just ripe and is joined by quince and Meyer lemon before the finish is given a lift from pickled ginger like spice.
